"My father had been developing lesions and blotches on his feet for a little over a year. They had become so swollen to the point where he could not fit his feet in his shoes anymore. We had been to a cardiologist, two dermatologists, and a countless number of podiatrists. All of the aforementioned “professionals” had not a clue what was going on. They provided my family with a variety of thoughtless and inaccurate diagnoses such as age spots, eczema, heat rash, etc.
I had a personal visit with Dr. Summa, and referred my father to her as “one last hope.” It turns out, my father was experiencing a rare form of skin cancer, which was causing the lesions and the swelling to occur. Dr. Summa went above and beyond for my family, providing us with doctors, insurance information, and a variety of other supports to cope with this issue. For over a year, numerous doctors lacked the ability to diagnosis my father, and just simply didn’t take the time to care about what was going on.
She took the time to ask questions and wouldn’t stop until we received an answer. I’ve visited her myself as well for skin care advice, and have referred many family and friends to her. Dr. Summa goes above and beyond for her patients. She takes the time to really care about her patients and that is something that is extremely rare to find in health professionals nowadays."
